When most people get shot in the chest, that's usually a sign that where you are in life isn't working out. It's usually an indicator that says, 'Hey, maybe it's time to mellow out and rethink some choices you've made'. Not for me. It's going to take more than a nine millimeter to the ribcage to stop this guy! The name is Jack Sly, at least, that's what they know me as. Herbert isn't exactly that great a name for a master thief like myself, you know?

In truth, life couldn't be better. I'm definitely standing on more solid ground now. I have a job which I'm the boss of and incidentally enough it's all about doing the thing I love most: stealing! The Sly Security Consulting Agency! I came up with the name, by the way. Pretty much what we do is my associates and I test out security systems by staging a heist. If we can break in, get the loot, and get out, we get paid for doing our job. Sounds simple, right? It is for master thief Jack Sly! And company. The "and company" is rather new these days.

I should probably mention Thomas and Elise. I used to not believe in the concept of meeting people who can be "life changing", but after my run-in with those two I'm a believer! It started out innocent enough ; as innocent as a heist can be. I broke into the Museum of Natural History. My target? One of the Twin Stones: an ancient Aztec artifact of great power. I have this knack for finding all these mythological and mystic artifacts. Only things really worth stealing, if you ask me! But I digress, I thought I was in the clear. Until Tom tripped me. That's when everything changed. I won't spend too long on all the details, but pretty much the power of the Twin Stone caused his friend Elise to actually grow in size! Wild, I know.

Through a series of events, I tried to help him get her back to normal (while of course trying to pocket the other stone for myself, heh). Didn't turn out as planned, but by the end of it we had a criminal behind bars, myself running my own business, and both Tom and Elise happily together as a couple. Despite her now being stuck in the fifty foot range, but hey! What ever floats their boat. In any case things looked perfect for a while. That is until I received a phone call from an old friend.

Now I'm getting to the point of where I was going with all this. I thought my last adventure was large, quite literally. That's nothing compared to the story I'm about to tell you. Hold on to your hats, my friends. Prepare for the adventure of a lifetime, involving myself, Tom, Elise, and a whole boatload of others too! This is the story of Jack Sly and the Komodo Sapphire.
